Leeds United Women are pleased to announce the signing of Darcie Greene, who joins the club from Halifax Women.

Greene made 21 appearances for Halifax in last season’s Northern Premier Division, helping the Calderdale outfit to a sixth-place finish.

The versatile 28-year-old is comfortable on both flanks, either as a full-back or winger, and scored three times across the previous campaign.

As well as sister Drew, Darcie also follows former teammates Shauna Legge and Ellie White in joining Leeds from Halifax, becoming the sixth new addition to Simon Wood’s side.

With the move completed in time, Greene goes straight into the action as she features in the matchday squad for this afternoon’s FA WNL Division One North clash with Middlesbrough.
