Daniel Farke saw his side return to winning ways on Saturday lunchtime, convincingly defeating Huddersfield Town in the West Yorkshire derby.

The Whites started quickly at Elland Road and were four goals up by half-time, which saw them claim the three points and put the defeat from the previous match behind them.

Speaking after the full-time whistle, the manager gave his thoughts on the game.

He said: “I think you could see how much it meant to our players to win the local derby and show a reaction to a disappointing result at Stoke.

“We did it in a perfect manner. It was an electrifying first half, we were all over them.

“It was not perfect, I got the feeling we didn’t make enough out of our dominance but if you're 4-0 up at half-time you can't complain too much.

“There were situations and periods where we could be a bit better and we allowed them to have a few dangerous situations.

“But, we were so calm to exhaust them with our possession and then to find the right moment to speed up the game.

“There were spells when it came pretty close to our ideal picture. We're pretty pleased with this result and performance and the first half especially.

"I have to say we were able to manage the game, didn't give many chances away, this was quite pleasing.”
