Leeds United return to action on Tuesday evening, travelling away from home to face Sheffield Wednesday in a Yorkshire derby!
The Whites are aiming to bounce back from a Premier League defeat to Arsenal, taking on the Owls in a Carabao Cup Round Two clash.
Speaking ahead of the tie at Hillsborough, Daniel Farke previewed the game.
“We want of course to progress into the next round,” the boss responded, when asked about his views on the game.
“But, it's also fair to say that the priority is definitely also on the Premier League and the survival of the Premier League, so we won't do anything stupid.
“We won't risk one player if there is an injury doubt or doubt in terms of load. We have also a few players who desperately need right now after two game days, perhaps not that much in the spotlight, also a bit a bit a game time.
“Also for new signings, perhaps also a chance to get used to everything, so the clear target is we want to go into the next round but you can expect then also a few more rotations than we perhaps normally would do.
“We want to make sure that we, for ourselves, are there with good performance and also good result.
“But we are also aware that there is a competitive side who will try to use their momentum [referring to Sheffield Wednesday’s fightback away at Wrexham on Saturday afternoon].”
