Ahead of facing Peterborough United away in the Emirates FA Cup this weekend, Daniel Farke has given his thoughts on our upcoming opponents.
Leeds United enter the competition at the Third Round stage and will travel to the Weston Homes Stadium on Sunday afternoon, in a 2pm kick-off.
Looking ahead to the match, the manager wants his side to remain focused against a team flying high in the Sky Bet League One table.
“We are always respectful,” Farke stated, on the competition.
“It’s more or less a game on Championship level. If you are a top team in League One, you have the quality of a team in mid-table or bottom half of the Championship.
“If not, you cannot be in a top position in League One and fight for promotion. We have seen what Ipswich have done this season, last season they played League One.
“Peterborough are a really good side and a home game for them, a special stage against Leeds United, each and every player would like to use this stage to impress.
“For that, we expect a tight and difficult game, we have to be there on our best level, because to bring more consistency in our away results is a topic for 2024.
“We want a good performance and to go through, to go as far as possible.”
