Leeds United conceded a stoppage time equaliser against Swansea City on Saturday lunchtime, meaning each side had to settle for a point at Elland Road.

The Whites had the lead twice in the game after goals from Brenden Aaronson and Willy Gnonto, but the visitors hit back on both occasions.

Speaking to LUTV after the game, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts on the performance.

“We had a strong start with the one-nil, but in the first half with our positioning and our possession, not the best,” the manager summarised.

“We had to shake off the rustiness from the international break. We were much better in the second half and dominated them, pushed them back, played in their half.

“But without having a chance they were able to equalise. It was then a top reaction from my team, to a sucker punch you have to react, and the players that came on had a decent impact.

“Willy Gnonto took the risk for the last few minutes and although it was a bit difficult today to bring him on, we got the feeling he could make the difference and he scored a fantastic goal.

“We tried everything to bring it over the line and it would have been a massive win for us, a hard-fought one, but of course it was then heart-breaking.

“It was not to be today, we have to accept this, put the disappointment away and then we go again.”
