Looking ahead to Saturday afternoon’s tie with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Daniel Farke a difficult game against Rob Edwards' side at the weekend.

The Whites host Wolves at Elland Road following a historic win over rivals Manchester United on Monday night, which ended the 45-year win drought at Old Trafford.

A first half brace from Noah Okafor was too much for the Lancashire outfit, as a consolation goal from Casemiro was not enough to stop Farke’s side in their tracks as they marched on to secure the three points.

Now, with attentions firmly fixed on Saturday’s fixture, the manager said, “We have to make sure that we do not lose nerves and stay focussed and stay concentrated.

“On the other hand, with this group, it is relatively easy because I have got top characters, and also experienced players who are fully aware that after a big win, you have a chance in the next game.”

Japanese international Ao Tanaka started on Monday night, putting in a dominant performance at Old Trafford, with Farke speaking glowingly about the midfielder.

“We were always convinced that he can deliver, we also have to keep in mind it is his first season in the top flight, but he also needs time to adapt his game to this level and find consistency in his performances and at the moment he is delivering exactly what we need.”

On Wolves manager Rob Edwards, the boss said, “I am full of respect for Rob Edwards, bringing way more stability into their performances and to their results, and we know how difficult this game will be.

“They have had many good results, including the back-to-back wins against Liverpool and Aston Villa.

“This makes them a dangerous side and they have threats, they can go for counter-attacking players in the offence and they can go for physical players in the offence. We need a top performance again.”
