Sunday’s Premier League meeting with Manchester United at Elland Road needs no introduction and Whites’ boss Daniel Farke is under no illusions as to the magnitude of the fixture.

Speaking to the media ahead of the weekend’s clash, the manager is hoping his team can continue their impressive recent results in what is sure to be a raucous atmosphere in West Yorkshire.

“Form and momentum is really good and we know also how much it means for our supporters this game,” he began.

“We had a good start so to be there with more than 20 points already at this stage of the season as a promoted side, this is a really good sign.

“Especially more encouraging the performances and that we are competitive in each of the games more or less – this is quite good.

“But we have to stay awake because if we right now stop winning points it is not enough to stay in this league. There is no time for losing the ground or not staying humble or for complacency.

“For everyone who is connected with Leeds United, it is a special game. We always have a chance and we will try our very best also to fulfill the dreams of our supporters.

“We have fought so hard over the last two years to be back on Premier League level to have these types of games and especially also, of course, this fixture.

“We want to show our strength and our skills again and if we do so, then together with our supporters, then we also will have a chance.”
