Leeds United face Cardiff City away from home on Saturday afternoon, travelling to South Wales for this Sky Bet Championship clash.
The Whites are looking to bounce back from a first defeat of the league campaign last time out, against Burnley. The Bluebirds also lost their last outing away at Derby.
Speaking ahead of the match, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts to the media, beginning with a fitness update on his squad.
“We had a few little knocks and hits and little problems during this week,” the manager explained.
“Joe Rodon missed two training sessions due to some hip problems or some glute problems.
“Also Junior Firpo was struggling a bit with his MCL and Manor Solomon with some back problems, then Joe Rothwell rolled his ankle.
“So a few concerns, but I'm carefully optimistic that all of them will be available.
“Then, Max Wober was back in training since today [Thursday], it was just a light session.
"We have to wait a bit how his body reacts and also how he can handle the load in the session tomorrow [Friday], so it will be a late decision with him.
“Patrick Bamford is meanwhile back in team training since last Tuesday.”
On the match itself, Cardiff are currently bottom of the table without a win so far this season. Despite the tough run, the Boss believes there are plenty of players in the team who could hurt his side, so they will have to be at their best.
On our upcoming hosts, Farke said: “I’m thinking that during this week they have tried everything in order to be perfectly prepared.
“They want to use their home game, especially against Leeds United, spotlight game, to turn things around and for that we have to be even more aware.
"It will be a tough and difficult game for us. So it's not like they are after five game days in position 24 and they will finish in 24.
"They will finish in a much, much better position and for that I'm fully aware of the quality of the players.
“I'm fully aware that they are in a situation where they will invest everything and fight.
“And for that, we have to be even more switched on, I expect a really difficult game for us.”
