Leeds United face a quick turnaround on Tuesday evening, returning to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup Second Round.

The two sides have already met this campaign only three days prior, with Anton Stach's late stunner from a free-kick securing all three points on Premier League opening day for the Whites in Nottingham.

Ahead of the clash, Daniel Farke said: "Of course, there is no replacement for this winning feeling. First win, a clean sheet, away win, it's a perfect start to the season.

"If you have a look at the other results, it will tell you a lot about how difficult it is to deliver the wins at this level. So for that, we have a good mood, also confident we had a really good mood, really good pre-season, so it's a good moment.

"It's good for the mood and for the confidence. But I also think it's also fair to say that you can't really compare these two games," the boss went on to add about the cup tie.

"The way you play the cup is slightly different to a Premier League game because it's a do or die game. There is always a winner in the end, and even if it's with a penalty shootout. So for that, yes, I think both teams will be also motivated to be successful.

"It's always good for the momentum and for the confidence, so for that, I expect again a tight game and will be difficult also to win on the road against this tough opponent.

"I'm a big believer in this competition and I like also this do or die mentality and to go for it. What we can achieve anyhow we have proven this last season. I would never say no to another good, proper cup run."
