Looking ahead to Friday night’s Premier League fixture against Burnley at Elland Road, Daniel Farke expects a complicated game and says his side are respectful of their opponents.
The Whites host Scott Parker’s side following a late draw on the south coast with AFC Bournemouth where a strike deep into added time from Sean Longstaff took a well fought point back to LS11.
Now, with attentions firmly fixed on the task in hand following Sunday’s Emirates FA Cup exit to Chelsea, the manager said: “There is definitely no complacency. We will concentrate on this game and like every other game, we are very respectful.
“If you analyse Burnley, there is not one time that they have been played off the park, they are always competitive and have had many tight games.
“I've got so much respect for what Scott is doing, and you have to praise him for their whole attitude because I have never seen a Burnley team that have gave up.
“They have had good performances and come pretty close to an impressive result in their recent result against Manchester City.
“It is very difficult to say that this game will be easier because they are relegated. I expect it to be more complicated because they will play without any pressure, and can be more brave, with a bit more freedom.
“My team has the experience over the last couple of years how difficult it is against Burnley – they were always rock solid.
“I am very respectful as it is always difficult to open this team and for that, we are concentrated, focused, and highly motivated.”
