Leeds United comfortably beat Coventry City at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon, controlling the game throughout and picking up three valuable points.
Goals from Willy Gnonto, Jayden Bogle and Joel Piroe secured the win for Daniel Farke’s side, whilst making it five clean sheets in their last six games.
Speaking after the match, the boss gave his thoughts to the media.
“I thought we were excellent in the first half, all over them,” Farke stated.
“We didn't allow them to have one chance. Our pressing was really good, in possession we scored a fantastic team goal and created many chances.
“Yes, we could have perhaps buried the game already in the first half, but it was also important then to stay on it and to start again also on the front foot into the second half.
“So we wanted to start strong into the second half, we did with an excellent second goal, then took a bit the foot off the gas after this in possession.
“We could have done with a bit more composure in possession. Then after the 2-0 I would say there were 25 minutes where we controlled everything against the ball, really, really rock solid.
“Perhaps our decisions in the passing and in possession were not that great in this moment, otherwise we could have dominated the game even a bit more.
"But I'm not too annoyed with this today and it's also understandable because we had many players out, important players for us and also many players with some light injury problems during the week.
"We have three games within six days, so it was a bit understandable that we took the foot a bit from the gas and wanted to be rock solid.
“Still, we scored the third goal, a really good counter-attacking goal.
"I'm very pleased that we were again able to be rock solid against the ball and against a really dangerous side.”
