Leeds United had to settle for a point away at top-of-the-table Sunderland on Friday night, after the hosts scored an equaliser in the final seconds.
The Whites had controlled large spells of the game and been ahead, after goals from Joel Piroe and Junior Firpo, either side of half time.
Speaking after the match, Daniel Farke gave his thoughts to the media.
He said: “We played against an excellent side who were there just with wins here at home.
“Not one other team has scored a goal so far against them and to deliver such a performance, we would have definitely deserved to win all three points.
“Yes, and then to lose two points in the last moment of the game in this way is heartbreaking and again, it's tough to take and it feels a bit like a loss.
“Before the game we would have said a draw or something like that is a really, really good result.
“But I also have to say, as much as it hurts also myself, it’s probably the proudest day of the season, because of how the lads have delivered today under such difficult circumstances was excellent.
“We were in total control of the game at halftime, so we dominated the game, scored an excellent goal, created chances in the second half. We were rock solid against the ball, didn't allow them to have one chance.
“We missed perhaps to score the third goal to bury the game as there were a few situations of counter-attack, but in terms of defending, everything was really excellent.
“I'm so, so proud of how we reacted today and how we played and how we dominated this game in major parts, and how rock solid we were in the second half.
“So for that, it feels disappointing, but I just have compliments for my lads and I think they were excellent. I'm pretty, pretty proud of what they have delivered.”
