Dan O’Hearne got the response he was looking for from his side, as they ran out comfortable five-nil winners against FC United of Manchester.

The Whites have won all their league matches on home turf this season and the Leeds United Women’s manager has called upon his side to make the Global Stadium a ‘fortress’.

I asked for a response after Tuesday’s defeat and we’ve done that today, so full credit to the players.

I thought we dominated the game and we’ve got the three points. I am most pleased about the clean sheet to be honest!

To keep another clean sheet at home is really impressive, so credit goes to the defence and goalkeeper.

“We’re undefeated here and have only conceded one goal. We want this to be a fortress, but we need to pick up more points away from home, too.”

Laura Bartup rightly received praise from the manager, who has consistently asked the side to be more clinical in front of goal, throughout the campaign.

O’Hearne said: “Laura set a target of 25 for the season and has 10 already, she’s a good goalscorer!

"In the first half I was pulling my hair out as it was two-nil, but could have been six or seven at half-time.

“We missed a lot of chances, I say it every week, but we got five today so that was a bit of a statement.”
