Dan James has won the latest Boost Player of the Match award, after picking up 52% of the vote for his performance against Preston North End.

The Welsh international grabbed his 10th goal of the season and was also chosen by the Sky Sports commentators for their own award, after the 2-1 win at Elland Road.

Preston opened the scoring after Will Keane slotted the ball home, but could only hold onto the lead for 5 minutes, before Dan James cancelled it out.

Gruev and Summerville combined to push Leeds forward, before the latter threaded a ball to Firpo, who put in a stunning cross, finding the head of Dan James, who powered it past Cornell.

A feisty game ensued, with battles breaking out across the pitch, before a wayward ball hit Ryan Ledson's arm in the closing minutes of the game. Joel Piroe stepped up to penalty spot and fired the ball in, sending the Leeds fans into raptures.

James was the clear winning of the Player of the Month award with 52%, followed by Ilia Gruev on 14% and Junior Firpo on 12%.
