The match officials for Leeds United’s clash with Coventry City on Saturday have been confirmed with Geoff Eltringham set to be the referee.

Based in County Durham, Eltringham part of the Select Group 2 list of referees and is one of the longest serving officials in the EFL, having taken charge of his first game in 2009.

He has previously taken charge of 17 Leeds United fixtures, with the last coming on the final day of the 2019/20 Sky Bet Championship title winning season, where the Whites lifted the trophy after a 4-0 home win against Charlton Athletic.

Leeds have won 10, drawn one and lost six of the matches Eltringham has refereed and he has issued 29 yellow cards and one red card to Leeds players.

For Coventry, Eltringham has been the man in the middle on 10 occasions, with the Sky Blues winning five, drawing once and losing four times.

He has issued a total of 15 yellow cards to Coventry players and the last time he refereed the club was in April, when the Sky Blues defeated Blackpool 4-1 away from home in the Sky Bet Championship.
