Leeds United are pleased to announce that the club will be replacing all of the current Centenary Square stones free of charge to fans, whilst also creating more space for supporters to purchase new stones.
The stones that are being installed to replace those currently in situ will be exact replicas, however the club are working with a new company for these stones ensuring they are of much better quality than what is currently in place. The installation will take up to two months to complete, with the work due to start in October.
As part of the introduction of new stones, we will be installing three larger stones dedicated to former managers Don Revie, Howard Wilkinson and Marcelo Bielsa. These centre stones will be similar to those we have located in Bremner Square.
Angus Kinnear, CEO of Leeds United Football Club, said: “The club have taken on board recent feedback from supporters on the stones at Centenary Square, and we are really happy that we can now announce that all of the stones will be replaced.
“As a bonus we have also been able to enlarge the area, allowing more supporters to purchase stones and have a permanent place in Leeds United history, whilst also honouring three incredible former managers for Leeds United in Don Revie, Howard Wilkinson and Marcelo Bielsa. I am sure supporters will enjoy visiting their stones once the work has been completed and the new stones have been installed at Elland Road.”
For any supporters that may be interested in purchasing a stone in Centenary Square in our enlarged area, there are a number of options for stone size and placement, including the following:
Small Stone (priced at £65)
Large Stone (priced at £99)
Limited Edition Large Stone – positioned around the centre stones (priced at £199)
Premium Stone (priced at £399)
Aside from the various options of stones available to purchase, supporters will also be able to pick from three crest options for their stones. The three available options each relate to the mangaers chosen for the dedicated stones, including the LUFC Scripture, the Yorkshire Rose and our current club crest.
All new customers purchasing a stone will also receive a certificate, the option to purchase a replica stone and a map so you can see where your stone will be located.
All existing customers who are having their stones replaced will also receive the new map with locations, however you will not receive a new certificate. Those who previously purchased Limited Edition Stones will find that the location will remain the same for their stones.
