The Leeds United Foundation is pleased to announce club Chairman Andrea Radrizzani as a trustee of the charity.
United owner Radrizzani already has experience in the charity sector serving as Executive Chairman and Founder of the Play for Change Foundation, a role carried out alongside his other interests.
Commenting on his appointment, Andrea said: “The Foundation is a fundamental element of the Leeds United brand and family, providing incredible support for the city and community and creating opportunities for some of the most vulnerable.
“They are helping every day and I am delighted to become a trustee, offering my time, energy and knowledge to support the people of Leeds, helping to unite the club and the community.
"I am in a fortunate position and it’s important to me personally that we give back to those most in need wherever and however we can.”
The Leeds United Foundation CEO, Alan Scorfield added: “We’re delighted to welcome Andrea as a trustee to the charity, not merely as the owner of the club but as a gentleman who has a real focus on helping the Leeds community.
“Andrea has vast experience of charitable work globally as well as fundamentally, a real desire to help out and increase our projects and work across the city and it’s a pleasure to have him on board.”
