The Leeds United West Stand redevelopment is now under way, which is an exciting time for the football club, and as part of the scheme, Elland Road will look and operate differently on a matchday.
As part of the approved planning application, there are a number of obligations which the club must fulfil, with measures related to managing traffic and matchday congestion and part of this involves trying to reduce the entry times into car parks around the vicinity of Elland Road.
The club and Leeds City Council have been working collaboratively over recent months and as a result, from the start of the 2026/27 season, the club will both manage and operate the council car parks on home matchdays.
Leeds United will be digitising the process, with the aim of providing a faster service for cars to enter the car parks, to help with traffic congestion.
All bookings must be made in advance, there will no longer be an option to pay on the day at any of the council’s car parks, with spaces to be sold via the club’s online ticketing platform. The new car parking arrangements will be in place for the friendly games.
Due to the West Stand build, the Fullerton Car Park will not be available next season, with the club having secured replacement parking off-site.
The club and the council continue to work together on development proposals for the ground, surrounding area, and match day operations. These new arrangements are part of wider travel plan arrangements for match days aimed at preventing vehicles queuing back from car parks onto the public highway, which will aid the overall traffic congestion situation.
There will be a number of further announcements in due course in relation to car parking and other changes at Elland Road over the upcoming season and we thank supporters for their patience whilst the ongoing redevelopment works take place.
