Burnley: Match Officials Appointed

Appointments made for Friday’s fixture.

Thomas Bramall

The match officials for Leeds United’s Premier League clash with Burnley on Friday evening have been announced, with Thomas Bramall set to take charge at Elland Road.

The fixture will be the fourth time the referee has officiated the Whites this season, after overseeing both fixtures against Crystal Palace and an Elland Road tie with Tottenham Hotspur.

Last time in charge of a Leeds fixture, the spoils were shared in a goalless draw at Selhurst Park where Daniel Farke’s side showed excellent defensive resolve to earn a point following Gabriel Gudmundsson’s first half dismissal.

In another outing to feature the Sheffield-based referee, United recorded an emphatic win over the Eagles in LS11 with goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Ethan Ampadu and Anton Stach securing victory back in December.

When last overseeing Burnley, Scott Parker’s side were beaten at home by Brighton and Hove Albion as a Mats Wieffer brace saw the Seagulls claim all three points in Lancashire.

So far in all competitions this term, the referee has overseen 28 matches, showing 113 yellow cards and four red cards across the Premier League, Sky Bet Championship, EFL Cup and Emirates FA Cup.

Supporting him on the night will be Constantine Hatzidakis and Craig Taylor, with Adam Herczeg on the touchline as the fourth official. Keeping up with the action from Stockley Park is Video Assistant Referee Tim Wood and Additional VAR Jarred Gillett.
