Leeds United playmaker Brenden Aaronson spoke to the media after Leeds United’s loss against Crystal Palace.
The Whites suffered defeat in the Premier League on the road, with Crystal Palace winning 2-1 in South London.
The USA international felt the Whites didn’t deserve to lose at Selhurst Park, expressing his disappointment at the result.
“As a group it’s tough to swallow,” said Aaronson.
“I felt in the first half we had a bunch of chances but we didn’t punish Crystal Palace the way we wanted to.
“To come away from home and play against a good team like that and play the way we played, it’s tough to suffer the defeat.
“We’ve been working on set pieces a lot, so it was tough to swallow that, I thought we recovered from it, but obviously they got the other goal, so it was tough.
“Whenever the other team doesn’t have many chances and it’s first chance, first goal, of course it’s a punch in the gut.
“We didn’t attack the way we did in the first half in the second half and they made it tough for us.
“We’re disappointed with the result, but we have to keep our heads high in this situation and move onto the next one."
