On Wednesday evening, a number of Leeds United stars took part in an interactive gaming session with supporters to raise vital funds for the Leeds United Foundation.
Patrick Bamford, Kalvin Phillips, Gjanni Alioski, Pablo Hernandez, Liam Cooper, Pascal Struijk and Leif Davis were all involved in the event that kicked-off at 8pm.
Earlier in the week, Leeds’ top goal-scorer, Bamford, set up a JustGiving page and with a £40 donation, supporters would have the opportunity to take on the players at the popular game franchise Call of Duty™️ Warzone on Wednesday evening.
Every person that donated £40 to the cause, was able to create a four-man squad of their own, to try and defeat Leeds’ Premier League stars.
A total of 40 squads were registered to take part in the tournament, with a fantastic £1,600 raised for the Leeds United Foundation to help support the delivery of their programmes that create opportunities, break down barriers and help to change the lives of those most vulnerable in our local community.
Playing four rounds across the evening, 14,700 viewers also tuned into Leeds United's new Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/leedsunited) to watch as Leif, Kalvin and Gjanni battled their way through the Warzone map Verdansk.
A massive thank you to everyone that took part in the event and for helping to raise vital funds for the club’s official charity, that will help to positively impact the lives of those that really need it through what has been an incredibly difficult year.
