Aston Villa match dedicated to Level Playing Field

Annual Weeks of Action campaign.

Leeds United’s fixture against Aston Villa on Thursday night was dedicated to the annual Level Playing Field 'Weeks of Action' campaign, as the club showed their ongoing support for the charity and the work they do.

The dedicated match is a part of the campaign that takes place every year to help promote and showcase the work being done by clubs, Disabled Supporters Associations (DSAs), supporters and other organisations to improve accessibility and inclusion across all sports.

There was relevant information included in the matchday programme, with branded assets used on the big screen at Elland Road ahead of kick-off. Our first-team backroom staff wore branded pin badges, with first-team players showing their support earlier in the week as they donned Level Playing Field t-shirts at the training ground. Both Patrick Bamford and Dan James also shared a special message for our disabled supporters, to thank them for their continued support.

The key objective for the 'Weeks of Action' campaign is to raise awareness around access at sporting events and how it benefits disabled fans and the wider community.

The Leeds United Foundation and Leeds United Disabled Organisation (LUDO) continue to work with the club and Level Playing Field to improve facilities and opportunities for those with disabilities in our local community.

If any supporters have any queries with regards to access for disabled fans at Elland Road, please contact the Disabled Liaison Officer at Leeds United via email at [email protected].

There is also relevant information available on the website for our disabled supporters here.
