Leeds United midfielder Ao Tanaka has been named in Hajime Moriyasu's latest Japan squad, for their upcoming fixtures against Saudi Arabia and Australia.
A deadline day signing, Tanaka has made five appearances for the Whites, most recently impressing in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Norwich, his first full 90 minutes since joining the club.
The midfielder will be hoping to add to his 28 caps for Japan, who have made an impressive start in their most recent World Cup qualifiers, defeating China 7-0, before beating Bahrain 5-0 away.
Moriyasu’s side travel to face Saudi Arabia in Jeddah on Thursday 10th October (7pm UK time), ahead of their clash with Australia in Saitama on Tuesday 15th October at 11:35am (UK time).
