Leeds United are pleased to announce Alfie Hughes has signed a professional contract with the club.
The 18-year-old has penned a one-year-deal, running until the summer of 2022.
Hughes made 21 appearances in all competitions for the Under-18s last season, scoring one goal.
He will now link up with Mark Jackson’s Under-23s for the 2021/22 season.
Speaking about the contract Hughes said: “It’s something everyone works towards, a first professional contract, so I’m really happy.
“Pretty much every day my mum and dad have taken me to training, so it’s good they can be here with me for this moment.
“I’m quite a creative player, I like to get on the ball and make things happen and work hard for the team.
“I want to kick on this year now and get a lot of games under my belt.”
Everyone at Leeds United would like to congratulate Alfie on this achievement.
