Leeds United’s Brenden Aaronson has been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Matchweek award after playing a key role in the Whites’ 2-1 victory over West Ham United.
The American international was a standout performer at Elland Road, opening the scoring in the first half and driving Leeds forward throughout the contest. His goal set the tone for a high-energy display that saw Daniel Farke’s side claim all three points.
Aaronson also struck the crossbar with a powerful effort from range and created two chances for his teammates, as Leeds extended their strong run of form in the Premier League.
The 25-year-old’s performance has earned him a place among eight nominees for Matchweek 9’s Player of the Matchweek award, recognising the league’s most impressive individual displays.
Voting is open to supporters until 12:00 GMT on Tuesday, 28 October via the Premier League’s official website.
