Leeds United can confirm the squad numbers for the first team, ahead of the 2024/25 campaign beginning this weekend. Daniel Farke’s side take on Portsmouth at Elland Road and when his side runs out of the tunnel for kick-off, some will have a fresh look for the new season.

Our leadership group has been confirmed, with captain Ethan Ampadu wearing number 4, Pascal Struijk as 5, and Illan Meslier retaining his number 1 shirt.

The summer signings have also been officially given their numbers. Jayden Bogle takes the number 2 shirt, Joe Rodon will have 6 upon his return to the club, whilst Joe Rothwell has chosen 8 and Alex Cairns 21.

At the top end of the pitch, there has also been some changes. Dan James will now wear the number 7 shirt which was available after Joel Piroe swapped to the number 10. Mateo Joseph has opted for number 19.
