The former England international was snapped up by Leeds in the summer of 2016, shortly after his release from Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers.
Green, a vastly-experienced goalkeeper progressed through the ranks at Norwich City and enjoyed a six-year stint at West Ham United before joining QPR in 2012.
After establishing himself as number one at Elland Road and impressing between the sticks, Green's contract was extended by a further year in March 2017.
Green made a total of 47 appearances for Leeds during the 2016/17 campaign, playing every minute of United's Championship campaign and was handed the Member's Player of the Year Award at the end of the season.
At 37 he is the oldest member of the first-team squad.
