LIAM COOPER: A BIG RESULT

Captain on Brentford win.

Leeds United captain Liam Cooper spoke exclusively to LUTV following the full time whistle of Saturday’s win against Brentford.

Cooper’s first half header secured Leeds Untied a 1-0 victory over the Bees, to move within five points of the Play-Offs.

It was the Whites first win of 2018 and Cooper was delighted to get the goal to secure Leeds three points at Elland Road.

“I don’t get many myself, but when I do, they are always nice to score, even if the knee slide didn’t go to plan,” said Cooper.

“It is a big result for the boys, we have been knocking at the door and we have now managed to get over the line today and get the three points which is massive.

“Hopefully now, this will give us a big boost going into the final stages of the season.

“The fans always keep spirits high, I come in for a bit of stick sometimes from the fans, but I will always give my best for the club and that is all I can do.”
