PIERRE-MICHEL LASOGGA: WE HAVE TO WIN THE NEXT GAMES

Leeds United striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga spoke to the media on Friday ahead of Sunday’s Sky Bet Championship fixture with Bristol City.

New head coach Paul Heckingbottom will take charge of Leeds for the first time at Elland Road, as United look to bounce back from last week’s narrow defeat at Sheffield United.

The Whites defeated the Robins 3-0 back in October, but remain winless so far in 2018.

Despite this, United sit just eight points outside the Play-Off places and Lasogga talked about how crucial Sunday’s match is going to be.

“I feel good and I think the whole team feels good now,” said Lasogga.

“The games in the last month haven’t been good for us, with our last win coming against Burton Albion.

“There have been a lot of changes, with the new coaches and I thought last week at Sheffield United we played very well in the second half and didn’t deserve to lose.

“We have to start getting some victories now though, because just playing good is not enough.

“At Ashton Gate, it was not an easy game, the wind played a big part, but we started very well and scored after five minutes.

“We need to play like this again, we were all very confident and enjoyed the match, we played our game and we have to do that again on Sunday.”

“To get into the Play-Off places we have to win the next games, Sunday is a very important game against Bristol City to close the gap.

“I hope we can win this game, so that we can get closer to the Play-Off spots.
