LIAM KITCHING LOAN EXTENDED

Defender to remain with Harrogate.

Leeds United can confirm Harrogate Town have extended Liam Kitching’s loan deal until the end of the season.

Kitching joined Harrogate on an initial 28 day loan in January and after impressing for the National League North outfit, will remain at Wetherby Road for the rest of the campaign.

The centre-back was on the score-sheet for Town last weekend, helping them defeat Leamington 3-1 in the National League North.

Town currently sit in second place in the division, two points behind leaders Salford City and are vying for promotion.

Speaking about the extension, Leeds United Academy Manager Adam Underwood said: We’ve had really positive feedback on Liam’s performances at Harrogate Town and extending his loan until the end of the season is the right thing for his development at this time.

"He is ready for the challenge of senior football, we will continue to monitor his progress closely and assess his next step during pre season."

We wish Liam good luck during the rest of the campaign.
