QUEENS PARK RANGERS: THEY PLAYED FOR BOTH

We look at 11 players who've played for both Leeds and QPR.

Ahead of Sunday's game with Queens Park Rangers at Elland Road, we look at 11 players who have featured for both teams!

Paddy Kenny

The goalkeeper was signed by Neil Warnock at nearly every club he’s managed.  QPR signed him from Sheffield United in 2010 where he had a two year spell, before being signed once more by Warnock at Leeds.

Clarke Carlisle

Starting his career at Blackpool, Carlisle had a four year spell at QPR from 2000-2004, prior to joining Leeds where he spent one season.  He went onto have spells at Watford, Burnley and Northampton Town.

Rio Ferdinand

Signed by Leeds in 2000 for a club record £18m, Ferdinand was sold to Manchester United two years later for £30m.  He spent 12 years at Old Trafford, before spending the 2014/15 season with QPR prior to retirement.

Simon Walton

Walton came through the ranks at Leeds and has gone onto play for a number of clubs in England including QPR, Plymouth Argyle, Hartlepool United, Stevenage and Crawley Town.  The 30-year-old is now at Sutton United.

Andros Townsend

The Crystal Palace winger had a short loan spell with Leeds in 2012 and also had a temporary stint with the R's in 2013.  Since Townsend has gone on to win 13 caps for England, scoring three goals.

Liam Miller
Miller will always be remembered for the match winner he scored away at Southampton, as Leeds fought from three down to win 4-3 back in 2005.   He had a short spell with QPR in 2009.
Shaun Derry

Defensive midfielder Derry had a three year spell at both clubs, from 2005-2008 at Leeds and 2010-2013 at the R’s.  He also played for clubs including Crystal Palace, Notts County, Portsmouth and Sheffield United.

Vinnie Jones

The midfield hard man is a cult hero at Leeds was part of the side that won promotion to the First Division in 1990.  He spent one season at Loftus Road, before retiring from the game.

Matt Smith
The Whites signed striker Smith from Oldham Athletic on a free transfer in 2013.   He moved to Fulham from the Whites, before making the short switch from Craven Cottage to Loftus Road, joining QPR.
Dexter Blackstock

Signed from Southampton by QPR in 2006, Blackstock made over 100 appearances for the club.  He had a short loan spell with Leeds in 2013 and spent last season with South Yorkshire side Rotherham United.

Rob Hulse
Hulse spent the 2005/06 season at Leeds after signing from West Brom, helping the club reach the Championship Play-Off Final.  He had a three year spell at QPR from 2010-2013 before retiring from the game.
