Scott Carson

The goalkeeper started out with Leeds United, before moving to Liverpool.  He spent the 2007/08 season on loan at Aston Villa from Anfield and is now at fellow Championship side Derby County.

Ugo Ehiogu

The defender made over 300 appearances for Aston Villa between 1991-2000, before making an £8m move to Middlesbrough.  He had a short loan spell with the Whites from the Riverside, before stints at Rangers and Sheffield United.

Simon Grayson

Coming through the ranks at Leeds, Grayson moved to Leicester City in March 1992.  After five years with the Foxes, he joined Aston Villa.  Finishing his career with Blackpool, he went on to manage the Whites from 2008-2012.

Robert Snodgrass

Signed by the Whites from Livingston in 2008, Snodgrass helped Leeds win promotion from League One in 2010.  He went onto have spells at Norwich City, Hull City and West Ham, before joining Villa.

James Milner

Now with Liverpool, Milner made his first team breakthrough with Leeds as a 16-year-old.  He moved to Newcastle United in 2004, ahead of moving to Aston Villa, before winning the Premier League with Manchester City.

Steve Stone
Starting out with Nottingham Forest, Stone moved to Aston  Villa for a reported fee of £ 5.5m in 1999.  He later moved to Portsmouth, before a short spell with Leeds during the 2005/06 campaign.
Barry Bannan

Scotland international Bannan made 83 appearances for Villa from 2008-2013.  He had a short loan with Leeds during the 2010/11 season where he made seven outings and is now applying his trade at Sheffield Wednesday.

Eirik Bakke

Now the manager at his hometown club Sogndal in Norway, Leeds signed him from the same team in 1999.  He spent time on loan at Aston Villa during the 2005/06 season, before returning to Norway.

Fabian Delph
Now with Premier League leaders Manchester City, Delph was snapped up by Villa in 2009 after catching the eye with the Whites in League One.  He made a total of 134 appearances for the Villa Park outfit.
Ross McCormack

Another Scotland international to play for both, McCormack signed for Leeds from Cardiff City in 2008.  He moved to Aston Villa from Fulham in 2016 and recently spent time on loan at Australian side Melbourne City.

Robbie Keane
The record goal-scorer for the Republic of Ireland, Keane joined Leeds from Inter Milan in 2001.   Ten years later, after spells at Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, he joined LA Galaxy, from where he had a loan at Villa.
