Leeds United’s latest signing Caleb Ekuban spoke exclusively to LUTV after joining the club from Chievo Verona.
The forward completed his move to the Whites on Tuesday, penning a four year contract at Elland Road.
Ekuban expressed his happiness at completing his move from Serie A, to England.
“It’s a pleasure and a dream coming true, ever since I was a little boy I wanted to play at a high level and this is a great club, so I’m very happy to be here,” said Ekuban.
“At the end of the season I was talking to my agent about a move and this opportunity with Leeds came up.
“As soon as it did, I cancelled all contact with other clubs, because I knew this was the move for me.
“Before I arrived here I knew about Leeds United playing against AC Milan in the Champions League and I also remember they had a great striker- Tony Yeobah, so I know about the club, but I have a lot more to learn about Leeds.
“This is a very big step for me but I am not scared because football is the same everywhere.
“I hope to get into a good rhythm as soon as possible and to improve, I can play on the left, right or centre, wherever the coach needs me to play.
“Chris Wood is an amazing player and I hope I can give him a hand to score as many goals as last season.
“The dream is to play in the Premier League – I think it is the best league in the world and I hope to achieve this dream with Leeds United.
“I am looking forward to meeting my team mates and I can’t wait to get going.”
