We caught up with Leeds United Ladies player Bridie Hannon to get to know about her inspirations, favourite films, sports and more. Read below to find out more!
What inspires you to play football?
It inspires me to play with my best friends every week and the team are a great group of girls.
What is your favourite memory of playing football so far?
I’d have to say playing in the Youth World Cup in Sweden a few years ago representing the Leeds United Academy.
Who’s your best friend on the team?
I get on with all of the girls but my best friend is Jemma White! She’s been my best mate since the old Leeds days. She makes me laugh every time she opens her mouth!
Do you like any other sports?
I like tennis and rugby
What’s your favourite TV programme?
I have loads... Corrie and Emmerdale, Our Girl, X Factor, The Apprentice, Match of the Day, Wentworth Prison, Gordon Ramsey’s Kitchen Nightmares! I like loads of TV really!
What do you like doing in your spare time?
Cuddling my cats – I’m a crazy cat lady!
Who got you into playing football?
I played at primary school but Fiona Berry and her sister actually introduced me to my local girls team in Castleford when I was eight years old!
What’s your favourite film?
I have way too many! Can I pick more than one!? Step up, Save The Last Dance, 7 pounds, Remember Me, The Last Song, Dear John! Chick flicks all the way for me!
