Youngsters encouraged to write a motivational Team Talk

New Premier League Primary Stars challenge launched.

The Premier League Primary Stars Challenge for this week has been launched today and is encouraging youngsters to write and deliver their very own motivational team talk.

As part of this educational challenge children can become their own team captain, whether it's for your favourite football club, for your team at school or even for an imaginary team - it's entirely up to you.

The main aim is to be as creative as possible, encouraging kids to be imaginative when they're writing their very own team talk whilst also thinking about and developing their vocabulary and writing skills.

The challenge will also make young students think about different communication styles with regards to how they'd want to deliver a team talk, making sure they choose an effective method for the right audience.

All of the resources needed to complete the challenge can be found online here, including some top tips on how current Premier League managers motivate and support their players and the PDF worksheet that sets the challenge out clearly, even including a collection of words that could be useful to use in your own team talk.

If you would like to share your team talk challenge on social media make sure you use #PLPrimaryStars and if you would like more information about the Premier League Primary Stars programme please contact Mat.Everett@leedsunited.com.
