Sarah Danby: We’ll go there and give it our best shot

Midfielder ahead of Arsenal test.

Leeds United Women midfielder Sarah Danby has given her thoughts, ahead of facing Arsenal this weekend.

The Whites travel to face the Gunners away from home in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup fourth round and will face a really tough test, against their WSL opponents.

Speaking ahead of the match, Danby is proud of how well her team have done to get this far in the competition having overcome high-league teams in previous rounds.

She now wants her side to give it everything they have when they take on Arsenal on Sunday.

“We feel really good at the moment!” Danby told LUTV.

“Obviously it has been cup, cup, cup, and game after game for us at the moment.

“We’ve got a pretty big one coming up on Sunday. It’s excitement, nerves, everything!

“We have made it into the Vitality Women’s FA Cup fourth round and that’s an achievement in itself, now we go to Arsenal and will give it our best shot.

“Of course it’s exciting to play Arsenal, they are one of the best teams in the country, if not the world right now.

“I think people may look at us and feel we have overachieved, with how well we have done in the competition so far.

“I disagree with that, though. I think we have gone out in our previous games and performed, so we deserve to be where we are.

“We’ll be going there to enjoy it, but we know it will be tough. They are training every single day so we know how fit, strong and fast they will be.

“But, we’re here, we know we’re a team that’s together and we’ll give it our best shot. We’ll enjoy everything about the occasion for sure.”
