Leeds United Women have confirmed the signing of forward, Sandra Soares-Martins. 

The youngster joins up with Dan O’Hearne and his side after spending time training with the squad over the summer, as well as featuring in some matches.

The impressive displays from the 21-year-old have convinced the management team to add to their forward line, ahead of the season beginning at Stockport County this weekend. 

A fast, tricky and energetic forward, Soares-Martin has previously had spells playing in her home nation of Portugal.

Upon moving to England, she then spent time representing Tottenham, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United at various levels. 

After completing the signing of his latest addition to the team, Dan O’Hearne gave his thoughts. 

He said: “Sandra adds needed pace and goals to our forward line.

“She has impressed in her short time with us over pre-season and we certainly wanted to keep her at the club. 

“Sandra wants to improve, has a great attitude and will offer the team something a bit different with her speed and desire to get in behind the defence. 

“We’re looking forward to working further with her.”
