Harriet Jakeman cancels out Rebecca Hunt's first half penalty

Bradford City Women 1 Jakeman 83
Leeds United Women 1 R Hunt 37 (P)

A late equaliser from Harriet Jakeman ensured Tuesday night's West Yorkshire derby between Leeds and Bradford ended all square.

It was the hosts who started on the attack with Sophie Hawkins firing over, before Leeds quickly responded with Laura Bartup curling a shot just over moments later.

Molly Havard had a strike fly just over for the Whites before both Kirstie Hunt and Alice Hughes came within inches of giving Leeds the lead.

Bartup then was denied at the near post before Sophie Hawkins blazed over from the penalty spot after Bridie Hannon brought down Charlotte Gill in the area.

Abbie Brown cracked a brilliant effort against the crossbar, before Leeds took the lead from the spot after Zoe Roberts was judged to have fouled Molly Havard. Rebecca Hunt made no mistake from 12 yards.

It took a while for the second half to get going with Johnson making a smart save to deny Charlotte Gill.

Hannon then headed over from a corner before Bradford pilled on the pressure and found an equaliser after Jakeman prodded home from close range to earn a point for the hosts.
