Leeds United Women were held to a goalless draw at home to Chester-Le Street, in a game they dominated in the first half.

The Whites were looking to make it back to back wins, but it was Chester Le Street who had the first chance of the game when Laura Hockaday forced Kirkham into a smart save.

From there on in, it was all Leeds, Laura Bartup headed a brilliant Olivia Smart cross against the post and then saw her long range shot held by the keeper.

Alice Hughes then headed over from a corner and Rebecca Hunt was denied by superb save.

As the half drew to a close, Abbie Brown fired wide when clean through before Alice Hughes shot just wide from 20 yards.

It was the visitors who started on the attack with Kirkham being forced into denying Proud with a great save.

Kirkham was called upon again, making another brilliant save to stop a curling shot from Hockaday before Holly Findlay raced to the other end and tested Jones.

Laura Bartup, with two goals already this season, hooked just wide before Burn shot into the side netting for Chester-Le-Street.

Despite both sides battling it out in both halves, neither side could find a winner as the game ended goalless.
