Chorley Women 0
Leeds United Women 1 (Cassidy 52)
Emily Cassidy’s goal was enough to see off Chorley today, as Leeds United Women extended their unbeaten run to eight.
With strong winds affecting play throughout the game, Rebecca Kemp saw her cross float over before Jodie Hunter’s strike bounced clear of the bar.
Leeds had to wait till the 27th minute for the first big chance, when Cath Hamill saw her shot kicked off the line and Millie Kenyon then shot over from 10 yards.
Kirsty Johnson then made the first of numerous saves denying Fenton from point blank range before Kenyon shot just wide for Leeds.
Johnson was then called upon again, this time to keep out Rotheram when the striker was one-on-one as the sides headed into the break level.

Leeds started the second half on the attack and Kenyon was unlucky to see her shot held up in the wind as it headed goalbound.
The Whites then took the lead when a brilliant through ball from Beth Clayton found Emily Cassidy who rounded the keeper and slotted home into an empty net.
Johnson then had to be alert as she kept out another Fenton shot, this time with her feet, before Hamill fired just over for Leeds.
Kirsty Hunt then forced the home keeper into a save from 20 yards, before Johnson again kept out Rotheram with a smart reflex save.
As Chorley continued to throw players forward in search of an equaliser, Johnson was on hand again and again to deny Rotheram as Leeds held out for another three points.
