SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY: NEARLY 35,000 TICKETS SOLD

Yorkshire derby nears sell-out.

Nearly 35,000 tickets have now been sold for Saturday’s Yorkshire derby with Sheffield Wednesday.

Both teams are tied on 58 points in the Sky Bet Championship, having played 33 games each and Saturday promises to be a mouthwatering affair.

The Whites come into the game unbeaten in two matches, however the Owls suffered defeat on Tuesday against Brentford and Garry Monk’s side will be looking to inflict back to back losses on the South Yorkshire side this weekend.

The match is a 'Category A' fixture  with tickets from £28 adults, £22 concessions and £5 juniors.

Sheffield Wednesday have completely sold out their away allocation and will be backed by over 2,000 supporters.

The North and South Stands, along with the North and South Corners have completely sold out.  Tickets are extremely limited in the East Stand Lower and West Stand.

The majority of tickets remaining are housed in the East Stand Upper.

In our last meeting earlier in the campaign, United ran out 2-0 winners at Hillsborough, thanks to goals from Marcus Antonsson and Chris Wood.

Last time the two sides came head to head at Elland Road was in August 2015, with Wood again on the score-sheet, to cancel out Marco Matias' opener in a 1-1 draw.
