LOAN EXTENSION FOR ADAM

Midfielder's loan extended at Posh...

Adam Clayton

Adam Clayton's loan spell at Peterborough United has been extended until January 30.

The former Manchester City youngster has made three appearances for the club with his initial loan spell seeing poor weather lead to the cancellation of games.

Adam has earned impressive reports from the games he has played and United manager Simon Grayson says he is keen for the 21-year-old to continue playing regular football.

The loan spells of Lubo Michalik and Mike Grella are also coming towards an end at Carlisle United.

Both players joined the Cumbrians on loan until January 3.

Mike says he has an open mind about extending his stay at Brunton Park while Lubo has expressed his desire to remain with Carlisle until the end of the season.

"I would like to stay until the end of the season," he told the Times and Star.

"I don't known what's happening with Leeds but I don't think they are interested in me staying there so it would be easier for me to stay at Carlisle.

"It is nice to feel wanted. That is a better feeling and I am enjoying training and playing games.

"The manager has been absolutely great and the lads in the changing room have made me feel very welcome."

Tom Lees initial loan spell with Bury also expires on January 1, along with Alan Martin's loan at Barrow, while defender Aidy White's loan with Oldham comes to an end on January 3.

Tom Elliott's loan with Rotherham also ends on January 3 while Liam Darville's loan at Tranmere comes to an end on January 5.
