Slovakian international moves on...

Lubomir Michalik

Central defender Lubo Michalik's contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.

The Slovakian international, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Carlisle, had six months remaining on his contract, but the cancellation now enables him to find another club.

Lubo made 76 appearances in two spells with the club.

He first joined as a loan player towards the end of the 2006/07 season and made seven appearances, scoring once, during the club's unsuccessful fight against relegation from the Championship.

He returned to Bolton during the summer, but re-joined Leeds on a permanent deal in January 2008 and became one of Gary McAllister's first signings, making his second 'debut' against Tranmere Rovers in February 2008.

Since joining on a permanent deal, Lubo has failed to hold down a regular place in the side and he made only a handful of appearances under Simon Grayson.

Lubo is now free to move on, and everyone at the club wishes him all the best for the future.
