Defender moves on...

Jason Crowe

Leeds United have cancelled the contract of defender Jason Crowe by mutual consent.

Signed in the summer of 2009, Crowe made 27 appearances during our promotion winning season after joining on a free transfer from Northampton.

The 32-year-old was also a member of the side which beat Manchester United in the FA Cup and he featured in both games against Tottenham.

Crowe scored twice for the club, both his goals coming in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Area Final against Carlisle United last year.

Jason said: "The last few months have been tough, but I can also look back on some real highlights while I've been here.

"I'll never forget my first game against Exeter and the atmosphere under lights against Liverpool was something special.

"The win against Manchester United is also something that will stay with me for a long time and it's something I was proud to be a part of.

"I'm disappointed things haven't worked out, but I'm looking forward to a new challenge now and I can't wait to get playing again."
