A deal has been agreed for American striker Mike Grella to join Swindon Town on loan until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old had a loan spell at Carlisle United earlier in the season when he netted three times in 11 games for the Cumbrians.

He has made two appearances for Leeds this season, and United boss Simon Grayson says the loan move will enable the striker to play competitive football.

"Mike has found opportunities limited this season," said the boss.

"He got some games in at Carlisle which did him good and we see this as another opportunity for him to play regular football."

Mike will join an already strong Leeds contingent at the County Ground.

Former captain Jonathan Douglas heads up a team of former Leeds old boys at the League One strugglers which also includes Dave Lucas, David Prutton, and Alan Sheehan.
