Paddy Kisnorbo celebrates his equaliser at Millwall

United boss Simon Grayson says he is delighted with the progress being made by defender Paddy Kisnorbo.

The Aussie, our Player of the Year in 2009/10, has been sidelined for 13 months after sustaining an Achilles injury in a League One clash with Millwall in March 2010.

He spent time in America working on his re-hab and since returning to Thorp Arch, he is edging ever closer to re-joining the squad.

"Paddy has worked really, really hard, and he has got to the stage now where he has been able to join in the warm-up and do some ball-work," said the boss.

"It's been a long, hard road for him and where he is now is really encouraging. There's still no timescale, but we're really pleased with how he is coming along."

Ben Parker is another who has endured a hard time due to injury, and the defender is again sidelined with his hamstring/back injury.

"It's been tough for Ben as well as Paddy," said the boss.

"He's another lad who just wants to play football and has been restricted in what he can do.

"The physios deserve a lot of credit, not only for the work they do with the players, but the part they play in keeping their spirits up at what is a tough time for any player."
