A sensational turnaround at Elland Road saw Leeds United make it back to back wins in the Premier League, after a 4-3 success over AFC Bournemouth.

Jesse Marsch’s side left it late for a second week running, and it was a Crysencio Summerville winner for the second week running, in what was another memorable and exciting clash under the lights.

The match began at an electric pace and three goals were seen inside the opening 20 minutes as both teams found the back of the net quickly.

Firstly, the in-form Summerville caused early chaos and won Leeds a penalty inside the first minute of the match. Stepping up to calmly slot home and give the Whites an early lead was top-scorer Rodrigo, netting his seventh goal of the season.

With their first attack of the match, the Cherries equalised. Philip Billing was free on the right and crossed into the box, then via a deflection, the ball landed kindly for Marcus Tavernier to volley beyond Illan Meslier into the back of the net and level the scores.

That combination for the away side switched roles, to turn the game around and put Bournemouth ahead. After Tavernier had seen his initial shot saved, he collected the rebound and laid it off to Billing on the edge of the box, where he found the top corner.

Counter attacks had been the tactic of choice for Bournemouth and they were executing it well. Their next break came from a Leeds corner and only the combination of Summerville’s alert defending, followed up by a good save from Meslier, denied a third goal.

For all of the possession Leeds had, they struggled to create chances after going behind and when Bournemouth did look vulnerable to an attack, they stopped the game with free-kicks to deny the chances.

HALF TIME: Leeds United 1-2 AFC Bournemouth

Looking for a route back into the match, Marsch went to his bench at the interval. After his debut the previous week at Anfield, Willy Gnonto was brought on, replacing Jack Harrison down the wing.

However, it was Bournemouth who extended their lead just three minutes into the second half. Another counter-attack created the opening as Tavernier crossed low into the middle, where Dominic Solanke flicked the ball into the far corner.

Marsch made another change and it had an immediate impact. Sam Greenwood was brought on for Marc Roca and he instantly brought Leeds back into the match, with a superbly placed left-footed curling effort, which flew up into the top corner.

The momentum from the goal was ringing around Elland Road and the atmosphere, along with the action on the pitch, was clear for all to see and hear.

With just over 20 minutes remaining, the Whites levelled through the skipper from a corner. Greenwood whipped the set-piece into the back post, where Liam Cooper rose highest to head into the back of the net and level the score at three-all!

Set-plays were still dominating the match, with Leeds having plenty of them, and shots being blocked from all different areas before going behind, as the hosts went in constant search of a winner.

The pressure finally paid off in the 84th minute with a stunning breakaway goal, putting Leeds into the lead. Fireworks were visible over the ground as the crowds went wild in the stands!

It was made by another substitute, who had a major impact on the game. Gnonto went on a sensational forward run, evading challenges, before slipping Summerville through on goal.

The forward then showed another moment of quality and composure combined to fire into the back of the net to get his third in as many matches, and United's fourth of the game.

The game was now about holding onto the lead after coming from 3-1 down and Marsch’s side had to withstand pressure in the final moments, but they worked hard and kept hold of another superb three points.

The final whistle blew for the final time at Elland Road before the international break, with Leeds now having two away trips before the World Cup - moving them up to 13th in the Premier League table.
