Preview: Crystal Palace vs Leeds United

Premier League action at Selhurst Park.

Leeds United are in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon, taking on Crystal Palace at 2pm in South London.

The Whites head to Selhurst Park looking for their first away win of the campaign, whilst the hosts have won just the once on home turf so they’ll be aiming to improve their record too.

When the two teams met last season, Leeds secured all three points at Elland Road in a 1-0 victory, before backing that win up with another clean sheet away from home, securing a valuable point in a goalless draw.

Depending on results elsewhere, both teams could move plenty of places in the league table by winning the match. Jesse Marsch’s side could go as high as 7th, whilst the Eagles could go above Leeds, into 13th.

Both teams have injury and suspension issues affecting their squads ahead of the match, so changes are expected on each side going into the 2pm kick-off.

The game has been selected for live television coverage on Sky Sports. Alternatively, you can stay right here on leedsunited.com to follow updates throughout the 90 minutes, or listen to uninterrupted commentary on LUTV!

Manager/head coach:

Palace: Patrick Vieira

Leeds: Jesse Marsch

What has Jesse Marsch said, ahead of the match?

“It’s a hostile environment down there, I remember last year we somehow got out with a 0-0 draw. They unbalanced us the entire match and we have to be better to find a way to get a result.”

Head to head

Palace: 18

Draw: 17

Leeds: 31

Top scorer:

Palace: Wilfried Zaha (4)

Leeds: Rodrigo (4)

Team news

Jesse Marsch is still without Stuart Dallas, Adam Forshaw, Archie Gray and most recently, Leo Hjelde. Luis Sinisterra will be suspended for the match, after being sent-off last time out against Aston Villa.

Palace are likely to be missing Nathaniel Clyne and Joachim Andersen, meaning they will have to look at other options within the squad for defensive areas.
