Mateusz Klich: Nobody is going to help us

Midfielder on Crystal Palace.

Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Klich has spoken to the media ahead of Monday’s Premier League fixture with Crystal Palace.

The fixture at Selhurst Park will be Leeds’ first game in over two weeks, after the three-nil victory over Watford.

Klich believes the period without a match has done the team some good.

“I think a break always helps,” said Klich.

“We had some health issues, I personally had some problem with my hip so I think the rest was good for all of us.

“I know we had a couple of good results in the last couple of games so overall I think that the break was good.”

The Whites have won three of the last four matches in the Premier League and Klich is hoping recent form continues in South London.

Klich said: “We won against them in the first game, so let’s win again!

“They have very good individual players and are playing well right now and it’s going to be a tough game but there are no easy games.

“I just hope we can get the result because it will help us massively.

“Until we are 100 per cent sure that we are going to stay up, we can’t really relax.

“We need to keep pushing because nobody is really going to help us and we need to win games by ourselves.

“It’s going to be an intense finish to the season and you need some mental strength to be able to cope with the situation, but I think we handle it pretty well.”
