Team news: Luke Ayling starts against Brentford

Tyler Roberts to make 100th club appearance.

Marcelo Bielsa has announced the starting XI that will face Brentford this afternoon, with two changes being made following our mid-week win over Crystal Palace.

Luke Ayling has made his way back from injury to feature in today’s starting line-up with Junior Firpo also drafted back in. Ayling last featured in the Premier League away at Newcastle United in September.

The rest of our defence is made up of centre-back pairing Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente, whilst Illan Meslier remains in goal for Leeds United to make his 50th Premier League appearance – which will make him the youngest goalkeeper to reach that figure in the competition.

Kalvin Phillips is joined in midfield by Stuart Dallas and Adam Forshaw, with Raphinha, Dan James and Tyler Roberts in attack. Roberts also hits a landmark during today’s game, making his 100th appearance for the club.

Our bench this afternoon sees the return of Patrick Bamford, after facing a number of months out of action. The striker is joined by goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson, Rodrigo, Jack Harrison, Charlie Cresswell, Crysencio Summerville, Mateusz Klich, Jamie Shackleton and Jack Jenkins.

Today’s game is scheduled to kick-off at 2pm and for those not in attendance, you can follow the live Leeds United blog here.

Substitutes: Klaesson, Bamford, Rodrigo, Harrison, Cresswell, Summerville, Klich, Shackleton, Jenkins.
